It took a few nights to get used to as normally I slept with my arm under me. Getting frozen shoulder and bursitis I had to consider a whole new way to sleep sideways. I invested in the Sleepsake butterfly pillow. Now I sleep thru most of the night and I'm waking up feeling way better. No crushed shoulders and hoping that my shoulders can recover after awhile. Well worth the money and I dont get hot with this pillow I love how it cradles my neck. I had a fall a few years ago lost 2 inches in my neck. My neck now rests and feels very supported. I am so impressed with my new butterfly pillow. I have 3 prolapsed discs in my neck following a 30 year+ nursing career. I have tried so many pillows that it’s almost a family joke when a new one arrives at the door. I bought this sleepsake butterfly pillow and the quality is very good and memory foam not to hard.
There are two loft , one for the higher side and the other for the lower side.
Unfortunately I am a very short person who has a very short neck.
And don't get the full support, I did notice that I had no shoulder pain next morning.
As your aware this butterfly pillow comes with 100 nights free trial and this is Awesome and it does state that any reason your not satisfied you can send it back, no questions asked.
Like I said my neck was so short and after 3 days ,I emailed sleepsake explaining this. Within 15 minutes I had my full refund back into my account. I was actually amazed this was dealt with so quick and not one question asked.

This pillow has the perfect balance — not too firm, not too soft. I’ve tried so many pillows over the years, including other ergonomic ones, and they were always either too stiff, too squashy, or left me waking up sore. With this one, it took me a couple of nights to find my sweet spot for both side and back sleeping, but once I did, there’s nothing else like it on the market. It’s so good that I now travel with it and avoid hotel pillows altogether, because they almost always used to give me shoulder or back pain. I genuinely don’t want to sleep on anything else.
I am a Physio and treat a LOT of necks! I have personally trialled multiple memory-foam and curved pillows over the years, but none provided the correct height or contour for my neck. This pillow has been the first to give consistent support.
The central dip allows the head to settle in a neutral position, and the curved shoulder contour maintains good cervical alignment and genuine comfort around shoulders. The optional height layer is especially helpful for side lying. Since using it, I’ve had noticeably less neck stiffness and no morning discomfort.

I've had consistently higher sleep scores and longer deep sleep since I started using my pillow. I find it very comfortable settling down now. I have one issue with the material of the pillow case which was resolved by putting a regular cotton one over the top. My skin was starting to break out with the original pillowcase.
I really love my new pillow, I do wish it was possible to buy pillow cases for the pillow that fit snuggly. I find with ordinary pillow cases some of the contours/shapes of the pillow aren’t as good as they could be with an exact fitting pillow case. I tried my pillow without any additional pillow case (just the one it came in) however embarrassing I’ve discovered how much I must ‘dribble’ through the night and i’m loathe to risk soiling the actual pillow. Please let me know if at some time you design and sell the filled pillow cases individually. 🥰🥰🥰
I have slept on the Butterfly Pillow for 42 nights now. Previous 37 years I had used good quality curved pillows. After the first night my wife remarked happily no snoring or labored breathing & thankfully that has been the case over the 42 nights. I am pain free for neck & shoulders plus I rarely now have an afternoon sleep. In summary at aged 77 I have found my pillow & when funds are available will certainly purchase another one.

It’s taken me about three weeks to adjust to this pillow as I’m a back sleeper, but my sleep has improved from 3-4 hrs sleep a night to now getting 6-7 hours most nights. I’m glad I persevered as it’s also helping my neck & shoulder pain. The company being Australian was also a reason I decided to give it a go & they have been great to deal with.
I was very sceptical. When the pillows arrived I marvelled at what they looked like. I've never seen anything like this before! Slept on it that first night and was absolutely amazed. Only woke briefly once in the night, then also slept in! No numb arm or tingling in my hand. Have now slept on the pillow for over 2 weeks and still amazed with it. I'm getting more sleep and that sleep is restful! One small catch is that its not all that comfy for reading in bed, but that's probably a good thing. So thank you Sleepsake. Your claims are substantiated!
I've had a butterfly pillow before and didn't get along with it however, this one feels completely different.
It is a lot softer but still supportive. It took a couple of weeks before it felt comfortable, but I think that is as your neck is aligning itself (don't know as I'm not a professional).
Would recommend that you try this even if you have tried others in the past.
I bought the pillows because I have a shoulder injury and my partner said he wanted to trial one as well due to headaches each morning.
Happy to report that he hasn’t woken up with a headache since and he has had the ‘best sleeps’ since sleeping on a butterfly pillow.
I’m still getting used to mine but find it very comfortable for sleeping on.
The first few nights were getting accustomed to the recommended way to use. I have noticed a reduction in tossing and turning and some nights I wake feeling as if I haven’t moved all night. The quality of my sleep has improved but most of all I love the comfort of the pillow and won’t be going back to my old one.
Both my wife and I are very happy with the pillows. We are both side-sleepers, and have struggled to find comfortable pillows that support the neck and head. I've recently had neck surgery, and this pillow has successfully kept my neck straight, and avoided me from tucking my chin to my chest when I sleep. I actually look forward to sleeping again!
I was sceptical about the pillow, but I thought I would try it anyway, and I have been really happy I did. I have had right shoulder pain from a rotator cuff injury for over five years, and even surgery did not fix it. I could not sleep on my right side without pain. But this pillow has actually worked. I was able to sleep comfortably on my right side from day one with this pillow. I recommended it to a friend who has also purchased one for herself and one for her Father. I recommend this pillow to anyone who has shoulder pain.

I love this pillow. Unfortunately I bought 2 and my husband doesn’t like his. However, I have found sleeping on my side is much easier with this pillow. I’m very happy with it. 🙌
For years, I had to sleep on my back because side-sleeping caused pain in both shoulders. That became a real challenge a few years ago when I developed mild sleep apnea on my back. I was stuck in a frustrating cycle: waking up from apnea, rolling onto my side, and waking up shortly after with shoulder pain.
This pillow has completely broken that cycle. It gives me wonderful support when I turn onto my side, with no shoulder ache. I was very surprised at how comfortable this pillow was. I was very very surprised. My husband didn’t like it very much but I did. Usually when you get a new pillow, It takes a little while to get used to it. I did not wake up with a sore neck the first time I used it I think the pillow is great
I find the pillow helps me sleep on my back and support my shoulders at the same time. Sometimes I put an ordinary feather pillow on top of the butterfly pillow to be more comfortable and still use the contours of the butterfly beneath.
